We have signed a strategic alliance with Forres based AJ Engineering.

As part of the deal AJ Engineering have acquired a stake in FirScot and it will see us moving to a new purpose-built facility in Forres which will offer us additional room for expansion and growth.

Managing Director of FirScot Ltd, Burgess Hay, said: “We are delighted to be involved in this alliance, the strength and support of being part of a bigger family offers great opportunities to grow to our potential. We are really looking forward to working with AJ Engineering on a range of projects."

He added: “Over time we hope both customers and employees will notice the additional benefits of the deal.”

AJ Engineering managing director Alan James believes the two companies’ combined capabilities will offer customers a comprehensive range of engineering services from fabrication to high tech CNC machining.

He commented: "This strategic partnership is an exciting development. FirScot is a small but dynamic precision engineering company which will become part of the extended AJ Engineering family. While FirScot will continue to trade as a separate company, both companies will benefit from exchanging vital market information, sharing trade and passing on sales leads.”

HIEs David Reid, said: "HIE is keen to work with businesses that show ambition and have aspirations for growth. Both FirScot Ltd and AJ Engineering are well respected within the industry and by working together they can share opportunities and become stronger as a result."
